Which remedies do Germans prefer for their medicine cabinet?
Coughs, colds, hoarseness: for colds, pollen allergies and other complaints such as headaches, inflammation or back pain, consumers like to reach for pharmaceutical products available over the counter in pharmacies. Which products are the most popular? Which products would consumers recommend to their friends? On behalf of the Plus X Award, Deutsches Institut für Produkt- und Marktbewertung GmbH looked into precisely this question and, exclusively for the Plus X Award, surveyed women and men aged between 20 and 65 in all German federal states in May 2018. They named their “first-choice remedy for the medicine cabinet”: exactly 6,586 valid votes were cast in the survey.
