Plus X Award IFA report on Europe-wide TV
Innovations and new products on all the channels of the Plus X Award and its partner broadcaster Anixe HD
Berlin – following its successful coverage of the IFA Innovations Media Briefing, the Plus X Award will also report on its channels from the forthcoming IFA 2017 in Berlin on the innovations and new products of the award-winning manufacturers. Besides being shown on its own Facebook presence and on the Plus X Award YouTube channel, the interviews will for the first time also be broadcast Europe-wide via satellite, from 1 September 2017 on TV partner broadcaster Anixe HD.
The cooperation with partner broadcaster ANIXE HD has existed since 2010. Back then, with the Plus X Award Night, the annual prize-giving of the largest innovation prize for technology, sport and lifestyle, the world's first full-length TV broadcast of an awards ceremony in 3D was shown on ANIXE. In 2014 the Plus X Award Night followed in 4K, at four times full HD resolution. Now, ahead of IFA 2017, Donat Brandt, President of the Plus X Award, has announced that the planned Plus X Award IFA report will also be shown on the television channel, which is freely receivable via satellite.
“We are delighted by the great acceptance among our participating manufacturers and by the positive feedback from our followers on the first interview series as part of the Innovations Media Briefing, and we did not hesitate for a second in deciding to continue the format at IFA 2017. I am particularly pleased that with our partner broadcaster ANIXE HD we have been able to win over a further medium with Europe-wide reach for our report. Being able to broadcast our content on TV as well consolidates the reputation of the Plus X Award as a mouthpiece for innovation. In addition, with the Plus X Award IFA report we also want to reward our award-winning manufacturers and offer them an additional medium for communicating their new products themselves,” says Donat Brandt.
Together with jury chairman Frank Kreif and jurors Volker Wachs and Olaf Sturm, Brandt will present the new products of the award-winning manufacturers and question the industry figures on site at their exhibition stands about their innovations.
IFA, the world's leading trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances, takes place from 1 to 6 September 2017 at the Berlin exhibition grounds (Expo Center City). Last year 1,800 exhibitors presented their latest products across 158,000 square metres of rented exhibition space to 240,000 visitors. In addition, 5,700 journalists from over 50 countries reported extensively on the latest technology trends.
