The Galaxy LED is a new LED luminaire for aquaristics. The housing is made of an aluminium alloy with high thermal conductivity and thus provides an ideal environment for the operation of the high-performance LED module. High LED output leads to the release of a great deal of heat and to a loss of performance if the heat is not carried away quickly. Active cooling of the Galaxy LED is therefore indispensable. The result is high efficiency and a long service life for the LED module. Using a built-in controller the Galaxy LED luminaire can be programmed to simulate light effects such as passing clouds or a thunderstorm. In addition, individual switching times can be set for automatic operation.
