In founding this series, Arcam set out to redefine compact hi-fi and home cinema systems. The Arcam Solo Music and Arcam Solo Movie offer five and two Class G amplifiers respectively for the sound formats concerned. Also on board are receivers for FM radio, DAB and DAB+, reproduced to a high standard. With the wireless interfaces Bluetooth (incl. aptX) and Wi-Fi, the units take their place among the receivers of networked sources, from web radio through mobile devices to UPnP devices on the home network. These can also be operated remotely via apps for iOS devices. The Movie units offer a drive for discs to the Blu-ray, DVD and CD standards; the Music series handles SACD and CD.
