There’s life in the old dog yet. In the UK, the Vinyl charts have been re-invented and vinyl records are a trend. But there are large differences in the playing quality. For decades, Clearaudio has been belonging to the top manufacturers. The twelve kg heavy Innovation Compact is again proof for this ranking. A seven cm strong turntable is driven by a torque-strong DC motor. The precision bearing delivers only a minimum of friction losses. The load-bearing structure is made of a mix of materials, among them pressed wood. From a sound perspective, this analogue drive is a real revelation.
