Radial tonearms dominate the market, whereas tangential tonearms are, due to their high price, the exception. The precision engineering required for their production is so enormous that many companies opt out of offering this tonearm version. But not the analogue specialist Clearaudio from Erlangen/Germany. Its TT5 tonearm, with its relatively favourable price tag, has just entered the market. A built-in mini spirit level allows precise setup and adjustment. The arm tube of the short tonearm is made from carbon and at the front end; an aluminium headshell houses the cartridge. A turntable equipped with the TT5 reads records with superior precision for the audiophile to enjoy the full acoustic potential.
