A meeting of legends – that is another way to describe the KEF Gravity One portable Bluetooth speaker. The British hi-fi and high-end legend KEF meets the design legend Porsche Design, and in their joint offspring the legendary Uni-Q loudspeaker principle is at work. In this miniaturised version too, tweeter and surrounding bass cone sit one inside the other and radiate as a point source. There is also a full-range driver which, like the Uni-Q, measures 50 mm in diameter. Low notes are reinforced by two passive radiators fitted in an impulse-compensated arrangement – the outlets for them sit beneath the wings of the elegant housing in titanium-coloured aluminium. Music arrives via Bluetooth 4.0 and aptX, and the smartphone functions hands-free calling and power bank are on board as well.
