KEF SPACE ONE

With the closed over-ear headphone KEF Space One, the third member of the One family styled by Porsche Design is available. Diaphragms of 40 millimetres are driven by a 20 millimetre neodymium magnet in which a CCAW voice coil is moved. The headband made of cast aluminium is given a titanium coating, and in other respects too the workmanship leaves nothing to be desired, as is typical of KEF. The highlight, however – alongside the outstanding sound – is the integrated, switchable suppression of ambient noise. With it KEF removes, in a headphone that plays along for up to 50 hours, all disturbing sounds that would have a negative influence on the reproduction of the music signal. At the same time the headphone produces a truly live sound, as though one were standing in the middle of events.
