The brand Knauf is the leading manufacturer of building materials and building systems in Europe. Beyond that, the company is represented worldwide in 86 countries. A company of that size bears great responsibility not only for itself but also for society and the environment. The brand is aware of this and relies with exemplary consistency on sustainable and recycled packaging materials. Beginning with bucket packaging oriented towards recyclable materials, the company now also uses composite packaging that is fully recyclable. While conventional composite packaging consists of a layer of paper, a layer of plastic and a further final layer of paper and is therefore not recyclable, Knauf's composite packaging is fully recoverable through household recycling collection.
