In its fifth generation the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon has slimmed down once again: the flagship of the mobile business series now measures only 32.5 x 21.7 x 1.6 cm and weighs only 1.1 kilos – with a screen size of 14 Full HD inches it can hardly get any smaller. Even so, the carbon fibre/fibreglass housing holds the very latest technology and above all the familiar good operating concept of the Thinkpads with combined touchpad and TrackPoint operation. Alongside current Core i processors of Intel's Kaby Lake generation, fast SSDs and optional LTE/UMTS modems, current interfaces such as Thunderbolt 3 in the form of USB-C ports are available as well. Behind the keys white LEDs provide good orientation at night, and thanks to the anti-glare treatment and a high brightness the notebook is easy to use in sunshine too.
