The larger Magnat CS40 gains a stereo loudspeaker by doubling the drivers, but loses its battery in the transformation. That is bearable in so far as this multiroom-capable speaker is additionally fitted with a passive radiator, which provides more assertiveness at the bottom end. Overall this makes the CS40 more than three times as heavy as its smaller brother; it now weighs just under five kilos. Beyond that it too travels on Wi-Fi networks in modes a, b, g and n and can access all sources available there, up to Spotify and the like. Here too control is by way of the AllPlay Jukebox and AllPlay Radio apps from a smartphone with Android or iOS. Up to ten CS speakers can then be connected into a multiroom system in order to listen to different music, or the same music in groups or throughout.
