The 1003S is the smaller sister of the 1009, either for use as a shelf box or as a partner for the rearward channels in a surround setup. From a technology perspective, there is no need for compromise, because the 1003 also features the same, sophisticated components as in the large column speaker. Tweet and midrange mounting are identical, for reasons of space you need to do without the two subwoofers. Nevertheless, the 1003 can play impressive basses. As the 1009, the small Quantum is also available in high-gloss black and high-gloss white.
