The high resolutions transmitted over HDMI connections between devices can cause quality problems after only a few metres, all the more so if they are supposed to travel from one room to another. In the ideal case 20 to 30 metres are possible without major losses. With the Oehlbach PowerLan HDMI Extender, Full HD and hi-res audio signals are sent on their journey over the power line. With the technology familiar from IT, distances of up to 300 metres can be realised without the reproduction quality suffering. In this way even the television in the garden house can be fed from the home cinema system in the living room – with the same quality and the same convenience, because the two extender modules also transmit the signals of the remote control.
