Opel OnStar brings the bright new world of networked mobility into ist car programme. A connection via the 4G/LTE mobile networks builds the basis for this technology. These connections are not only used for Opel OnStar, but are also forwarded to the mobile devices of the passengers via the integrated W-LAN hotspot. Opel OnStar is like the security butler for the mobile man. In case of an emergency, a rescue button calls for help manually or automatically by the system, around the clock, 365 days a year. The in-built GPS system helps to find the car once it has been stolen. And: Opel OnStar can be remote controlled by a cost-free smart phone app. Operating data from the car are available via the app and the doors can be opened and closed.
