At first it seems that only a black pane of glass is standing in the room, measuring 55, 65 or (shortly) 77 inches on the diagonal, once you have acquired the Sony Bravia A1. A stand? Speakers? Nowhere to be seen. This 4K OLED television can do without them and yet is a prime example of highly elegant design and high-quality sound. The fast X1 Extreme image processor calculates images up to 4K resolution, and it does so even when they are delivered in HDR, HLG or Dolby Vision. Bass comes from a flat box on the back of the Bravia A1 – the middle and high notes are provided by the picture surface itself. Two vibrating units sit there on each side and excite the whole screen so minimally that they do not disturb the image.
