As Germany's greenest bank, UmweltBank supports exclusively sustainable projects. From renewable energy to ecological, affordable housing, UmweltBank takes the initiative to create a world worth living in for us and for coming generations. The bank is the only one of its kind to have anchored environmental protection in its own articles of association. Through the financing of over 23,800 sustainable projects, UmweltBank has already saved more than 1,000,000 tonnes of CO2 and financed affordable, ecological homes for almost 1,000 people. Because the company demonstrates that economic viability can go hand in hand with environmental protection and deals transparently with its multitude of sustainable projects, it earns the PLUS X AWARD for Sustainability.
