The hype around bread makers may be over, but that does not make them out of fashion by any means. All the less so when they fit elegantly into the kitchen environment like the Unold Backmeister Kompakt with its stainless steel housing set off in black. The machine, with its baking tin coated in Whitford ceramic, can be set up to 13 hours in advance to ten bread programmes, one programme for jams and preserves and an individual programme. It then keeps the finished product warm for up to 60 minutes, for when the way from bed to breakfast table is particularly long. In the event of a power cut the Backmeister Kompakt remembers for up to 20 minutes where it left off, and a sensor control panel with LCD display makes operation and cleaning enormously easier.
