The kabibo robot construction kit from Variobot is an innovation that also convinces through its functionality. Thanks to patented light sensors the small, compact robot can react particularly sensitively to its surroundings. It thus recognises obstacles or markings by fine differences in light – and does so with a brain consisting of just two transistors. Various control circuits and different alignments of the three sensors mean that the kabibo masters eight different functions. It can avoid obstacles without touching them and follow a line. It is also able to travel at a set distance behind a hand or a light source.
