Repubblica is a TV remote control, which fulfills all requirements for design and ease of use. Inspired by the light sabers of the legendary “Star Wars” movies, Vestel has created a product, which clearly distinguishes its design from other remote controls – the name also pays tribute to this inspiration. The central element in the middle represents the stone of the light saber, its form mirrors the architecture of the city in the film. The Repubblica is conical and triangular and supports handling with this design. 49 operation buttons, which are all sorted according to their functional group, make handling easy. The most often used functions such as programme selection or volume, are located centrally on the control and thus easy to find.
