Electric drives have the potential to revolutionise mobility, especially when they have been as thoroughly designed as this one. Ziehl-Abegg’s ZA Wheel is a hub-integrated, gearless motor. This design reduces the number of parts required and maximises efficiency: the drive achieves a 90 per cent efficiency rate of the battery power and feeds up to 30 per cent of the brake energy back into the battery.
