The distinctive technical feature of the Vodafone “WebBox” is the missing own display; the WebBox uses an existing TV as display instead, thus saving cost for technical components. The wireless internet access is secured through a cheap integrated 3G telephone module that is activated as usual with a mobile phone by a Prepaid SIM card. The WebBox can be connected to practically every TV with an A/V connector and is thus about 50% cheaper than a normal Netbook.
