“Electric Drive” is the new partner magazine of the Plus X Award
The new publication aims to shed light on new forms of automotive propulsion and to inform end consumers.
The switch to new forms of propulsion for cars is settled, but the new mobility concepts are often opaque and complicated for end consumers. Together with the magazine “Electric Drive” as its new media partner, the Plus X Award has set itself the goal of informing consumers about electric mobility and offering them guidance.
For the world's largest innovation prize for technology, sport and lifestyle products, the automotive segment is gaining ever more importance. “The car industry has never been as innovative as it is today. Product life cycles are getting ever shorter, the range ever larger. Ever more brands are developing alternative propulsion technologies. The partnership with ‘Electric Drive' is therefore an important strategic step for us in offering end consumers more information,” says Donat Brandt, President of the Plus X Award.
The new print title, of which four issues will appear in 2018, aims to explain background and show developments. The goal is also to address specific questions: what does e-mobility look like in everyday life? How great is the range of the batteries and where does the electricity come from? The magazine will also publish test reports and comments from industry experts. In addition, makers and thought leaders who help shape and drive the development of new mobility concepts will have their say. Always in focus: technical progress. “The era of electric mobility has undoubtedly begun. With our magazine we help to discover its facets,” says Frank Kreif. He is editor-in-chief and publisher of the new magazine.
For the launch issue of “Electric Drive”, 60,000 copies will be printed and distributed through newsagents throughout Germany. It is accompanied by the website electricdrivemagazin.de and a Facebook presence.
