The Assistep by Assitech is a stairs assistant, which works without an electrical connection. It consists of a handrail and a handle. Usage is simple: the handle is simply pushed alongside the handrail. It can be used with one hand only to move the stairs upward or downwards. Alternatively, the handrail can be used as support. If not in use, the Assistep is simply folded away. The Assistep can also be used for stairs training, e.g. after an injury or a stroke. Therefore, the handle is used behind the person. Mounting the Assistep is independent from the angle of the stairs or its material.
