Up until now, OLEDs have mainly been used in the area of decorative lighting. Functional lamps and light systems counted on conventional light sources. With the Philips “OLED Panel GL350”, the cards have been reshuffled. The GL350er OLED is the world’s first OLED with up to 200 Lumen luminous flux and thus makes the new technology attractive for functional light applications also – such as desk lamp or above the conference table. Thanks to a special body, the installation of the new light source and the use within new designs is very easy.
