With the Rieber Check software, the manufacturer and service provider Rieber brings its Gastronom 360 (GN360) reusable food transport system into the connected age. The aim: to reduce massively the quantity of discarded food and single-use packaging. With Rieber Check the routes taken by food, its temperatures, its storage and also the whereabouts of the deposit containers of reusable systems can be traced and documented in real time. Without countermeasures, the decentralised supply of older people, of employees in companies and the like would in future cause the already incredible waste figures to explode further. On the basis of QR codes and smartphones, Rieber Check aims to be an aid to organising supply routes more precisely.
